WHAT METHOD DOES ECLECTIC HAIR STUDIO OFFER?
At Eclectic Hair Studio, we don't offer one single method of hair extensions to complete your look. We have trained with the best and brightest hair extension companies across the country and have found what works for some doesn't work for others. Your licensed extension specialist will use their knowledge and expertise to determine what is best for you, your lifestyle and your scalp.
WHAT ARE HAND-TIED HAIR EXTENSIONS?
Hand-tied hair extensions are wefts of hair that are tied to a string by a human instead of a machine, providing the thinnest weft for maximum comfort and flexibility. Hand-tied wefts prevent bulkiness at the scalp and ensures your hair lays flat against your head. As technology becomes more advanced, we've really started to love the durability of genius/seamless (different companies have different names) wefts. Don't worry, we can chat with you about which hair is best for you after you complete your digital consultation form.
DO YOU USE HUMAN HAIR?
Yes, we use 100% human remy hair for every installation.
HOW OFTEN DO THESE EXTENSIONS HAVE TO BE MAINTAINED?
We recommend having your extensions moved up every six to eight weeks to protect the integrity of your scalp. On occasion, we have some guests who make it to the ten week mark, but that depends on your natural density and how well you take care of it between appointments.
HOW LONG DOES MY HAIR HAVE TO BE?
For most guests, we want to see your hair to your shoulders, but it really depends on what your goals are and your density of hair. At minimum, your shortest lay must be to your chin in the front and occipital bone in the back to ensure your wefts don't show. At Eclectic Hair Studio, we know there are exceptions to most rules but our number one goal is to make sure no one ever knows you're wearing extensions. If your hair doesn't meet the above standards, we still encourage you to fill out our consultation form and we'd be more than happy to chat with you about your specific solution(s).
HOW MUCH DOES THIS COST?
At Eclectic Hair Studio, we are committed to making sure that you are a great candidate for our extension experience. How many rows and wefts you need for a specific look is different for every person and is based on your starting length/density and what your end goal is. HOW ARE THESE ATTACHED TO MY HEAD?
We use bead and string, that's it. No messy glue or tape involved. Our styles have trained with multiple brands all over the country over the years. The choices of methods out there are endless, from Natural Beaded Rows (NBR), Invisible Bead Extensions (IBE), The Luna Method, Waterfall Method, SKW, Flip-Up, Hidden Bead, the list goes on and on and on... Your stylist can help narrow down a specific method of installation that will best suit your needs. Here's a hint... we rarely use just one method on and entire head 😉
CAN I WEAR MY HAIR IN A PONYTAIL?
Absolutely. Actually, there's pretty much no way you can't style your hair with Eclectic Hair Extensions. Low pony-tails, top knots, braids, messy buns, half-up styles... we encourage it all!
CAN I WORK OUT or go swimming WITH MY EXTENSIONS?
You sure can. If you're going to be highly active or swimming, we suggest a loose braid or ponytail to prevent any tangling. Don't worry, we'll provide you with all the aftercare information (both written and video instructions) you'll need to take care of your extensions, regardless of your lifestyle.
will it take me longer to style my hair?
Yes and no. Let's be honest here... in most cases, you're likely doubling or tripling the amount of hair on your head. We can't deny that it would take longer to dry or style that. BUT your extensions will hold their style FOR DAYS. 95% of our extension clients have been able to reduce the amount of times they wash and style their hair per week. Your morning routine will be a breeze when you only have to touch-up a few pieces of hair. 
HOW MANY ROWS WILL I NEED?
That looks different for everyone, but generally you can expect to add one row for fullness, two rows for fullness and a few inches of length, and three rows for anyone with extremely blunt or thick hair looking to add a lot of length.
WILL MY EXTENSIONS BE NOTICEABLE?
Nope. At Eclectic Hair Studio, we create a completely seamless blend between your natural hair and the extension hair (that's why we color your hair at every visit). We've been trained to strategically conceal all beads so no one ever knows you're wearing extensions, even when it's pulled up.
CAN I USE CONDITIONER ON MY EXTENSIONS?
Yes, you are able to use conditioner without worrying that it will loosen your hair extensions.
HOW OFTEN DO I HAVE TO GET NEW HAIR?
We suggest getting new hair extensions every 6-9 months. Some choose to invest in a few new wefts every visit or two to break up the cost.
