When you book an appointment at Eclectic Hair Studio, that time is designated just for you. There’s no easy way to say this, but when you cancel or reschedule last minute or choose to just not show up for the time you reserved, our stylists simply don’t get paid… and no one wants to go to work for free. To protect our stylists and business, the following policies are in place. Please take a few minutes to review these policies and rest assured every single guest who sits on our chair agrees to the same policies.
Appointment Booking/Rescheduling
As a reminder, you're not just booking a service, you're booking a specific amount of time with your stylist. By making a reservation at Eclectic Hair Studio, you will be responsible for the time and service you booked, even if you choose to get a service of lesser time/value. For example, if you book a dimensional color service and an extension install (typically a 5-hour reservation) and decide to no longer get your extensions installed (typically two hours of the total time), you will still be required to pay for the dimensional color service and the extension install to accommodate your stylist for the full time you reserved. Avoid this by changing your appointment outside of our cancellation/rescheduling policy listed below.
Eclectic Hair Studio Booking Software
At Eclectic Hair Studio, we invest thousands of dollars each year to ensure you always know when your upcoming appointment is. Please opt-in to this number 855-672-1385 to receive notifications about your upcoming appointments (no marketing or promotion comes from this number).
Here are the notifications you will receive when booking your appointment: Within one hour of booking your appointment: An email and text notification with your appointment details 7 Days Before Your Appointment: A reminder text about your upcoming appointment (Please reschedule or cancel at this time if you can no longer make it) 72 Hours Before Your Appointment: A confirmation email and text (Please confirm your appointment at this time) *48 Hours Before Your Appointment: A second confirmation email or text if you have yet to confirm your appointment (Please confirm) *24 Hours Before Your Appointment: A third confirmation email or text if you have yet to confirm your appointment (Please confirm) 2 Hours Before Your Appointment: A friendly reminder that we can’t wait to see you soon! We know that life gets busy, but when you have to change or cancel an appointment, the earlier you make that change, the easier it is for us to fill the spot you reserved.
Appointment Cancellation and Rescheduling - Reservations Less Than 3 Hours
In the event that you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, we require a 24-hour notification for all appointments less than 3 hours so we can fill your spot with a guest on our waitlist. In the event your appointment is canceled or rescheduled with less than 24 hours' notice before your appointment start time, you will be invoiced a 50% rebooking fee before being able to reserve your next appointment.
Appointment Cancellation and Rescheduling - Reservations More Than 3 Hours
In the event that you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, we require a 48-hour notification for all appointments lasting 3 hours or longer so we can fill your spot with a guest on our waitlist. In the event your appointment is canceled or rescheduled with less than 48 hours' notice before your appointment start time, you will be invoiced a 50% rebooking fee before being able to reserve your next appointment.
No Show
If you choose to not show up to your appointment with no notification, you will be invoiced a 100% rebooking fee before being able to reserve your next appointment.
Same Day Cancellation/No Show
We understand that life happens (work, sitter issues, sick babies, car troubles, traffic, etc), but canceling your appointment the day of leaves us no time to attempt to fill the time you specifically reserved. If you cancel or reschedule the same day as your scheduled appointment, you will be invoiced a 100% rebooking fee before being able to reserve your next appointment.
Late Arrival
Eclectic Hair Studio strives to be on time. Our goal is to respect your time (and ours) and keep all appointments on schedule. If you are more than five minutes late, we reserve the right to reschedule all or some of your services so your tardiness does not affect punctual clients or stylists’ scheduled shifts. We would be more than happy to offer any service(s) we can with the scheduled time left available.
For example, if you are scheduled for a 2.5-hour service and arrive twenty minutes late, you may have to sacrifice part of your color application or blow-dry/style (your stylist will make the call). In the event that you miss the entire color application portion of the service and we have another client scheduled during your processing time, we will have no choice but to reschedule your entire appointment.
If your stylist needs to reschedule all or part of your scheduled appointment(s) because of your tardiness, you will be subject to our same-day cancellation policy. Late fees apply if you are late and the appointment runs over the originally reserved time (equivalent to overtime pay).
If we are running a few minutes behind, we will do our best to contact you in advance or we will apply a credit to your account
Retainer
All new guests are required to pay a retainer at the time you reserve your appointment. This retainer will be applied to your service on the day of your first appointment. If you need to reschedule, the amount will transfer to your new appointment. However, you may only reschedule one time before the amount is forfeited. All schedule changes must be made a minimum of 24 hours (48 for reservations more than 3 hours) in advance or you will be subject to our cancellation policy.
Some services that require a significant time block (3 or more hours) always require a retainer to book.
Repayment of Booking Fees
In the event that you violate one of our policies and you owe payment to Eclectic Hair Studio, the rebooking fee must be paid within 24 hours of being sent. If you fail to provide payment within 24 hours, all future reservations at Eclectic Hair Studio will be canceled with no notice. All rebooking fees must be paid in full before any future appointments can be made. If you habitually violate our listed policies or move appointments, we will require a non-refundable retainer for all future reservations. We reserve the right to automatically charge your card on file for any missed appointments or last minute cancellations.

All appointments may be rescheduled or canceled 24/7 at www.eclectichairstudio.com/book. If you are unable to give the required amount of notice listed above, please reach out to the salon directly by text at 740-633-2507.
Card on File
At Eclectic Hair Studio, having your card on file is optional. To make checkout a breeze, we allow you to store a card on file. We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express. Rest assured that your card information is encrypted and kept secure with our world-leading payment processing partners. No one (including team members, management, or owners) can access your card information at any time. You do not have to pay for your appointment with your card on file, but it does make check-out and self-pay convenient. We reserve the right to automatically charge your card on file for any missed appointments or last minute cancellations.
Children
The staff at Eclectic Hair Studio love children. However, we ask that you make childcare arrangements prior to your appointment. We understand that you expect and deserve the best experience possible during your time with us. Most of our services last a few hours or more (which is far too long for any child to be patient) and many guests look forward to their salon experience as personal pampering time. Even the best-behaved children are subject to elements of danger in the salon environment (sharp scissors, hot irons, glass shelves, mirrors, etc). For their safety and the comfort of our guests trying to relax, children under the age of 13 are not permitted on our studio floor and may not wait in the lobby (yes, this includes relatives, friends, and children of clients who have been coming for years). Please respect this policy and accept our appreciation for your understanding. If you violate this policy, you will have to reschedule your appointment and you will be subject to our same-day cancellation policy.
Group Booking
If you choose to make reservations for other guests, family members, or multiple guests, you will be personally responsible for any retainers required, fees, or charges they may incur.
Pricing
All prices are base prices and may shift based on hair length, density, amount of product used, the amount of time needed to complete your desired look, and stylist level. Luxe services allow for extra application time and do not include any extra product fees.
New Talent Artists
Education is the key to success at Eclectic Hair Studio. New Talent Artists' services are already discounted and CAN NOT be combined with any other offer.
Etiquette
Any discriminatory or derogatory comments are prohibited in the salon and will not be tolerated. All staff has the right to refuse service to anyone behaving inappropriately.
Professional Recommendations
As licensed professionals, it is our first priority to make sure your hair is safe and healthy. It may take multiple appointments to achieve your desired end result. No service guarantees blonde results. If two sessions are needed in one appointment (time permitting), the second session will be an additional cost. We will suggest any service that will benefit your hair. Vivid shades fade with each wash and we do not offer any complimentary redos or refreshes for vivid services.
Redo
We want you to feel your best! If you are unsatisfied with your service, please let us know within seven days of your appointment and we will be more than happy to adjust your hair, nails, or lashes with the same stylist or one at the equivalent level only. Eclectic Hair Studio's redo policy has the following criteria: Recommended take-home products must have been purchased at Eclectic Hair Studio during the initial appointment to ensure proper at-home care, including (at minimum) shampoo and conditioner for any chemical services and lash shampoo for lash services.
Return
Not in love with the product you bought at Eclectic Hair Studio? Return it within 30 days of purchase and exchange it for a new product. Due to human hair industry standards, all hairpieces and extensions are a Final Sale with no refunds, returns, or exchanges.
Privacy
Your information, including but not limited to your phone number, address, or email address is confidential and will not be sold or shared with any third parties.
Portfolio/Marketing
At Eclectic Hair Studio, we use photos of our own work as organic marketing. All photos taken by Eclectic Hair Studio are property of and can be used for marketing at the discretion of Eclectic Hair Studio and its employees. I hereby grant Eclectic Hair Studio the full right to take, publish, reproduce, and edit photos and videos of me during my appointment to express their work without payment or any other consideration, indefinitely. Additionally, I waive any right to royalties or other compensation arising or related to the use of my images or videos. I hereby release any and all claims against any person or organization utilizing this material for marketing purposes.
Gift Cards
Terms and Conditions: Eclectic Hair Studio Gift Cards are redeemable for services or merchandise only at Eclectic Hair Studio in Martins Ferry, Ohio (not valid online). Gift cards are not redeemable for cash, and will not be replaced if lost, stolen, or used without your permission. Gift Cards must be present during checkout. Offer void if the gift card is altered or defaced. Gift cards cannot be used on our online store.
Parking
Metered street parking is available to all of our guests. Please arrive a few minutes early to find a parking spot. The meter cost is 25 cents per hour, with a two-hour max. Just let us know if your meter is about to expire, and we'll be happy to run outside for you. Meters stop at 5:00 pm during the week and are free on Saturdays. We do not have access to any nearby lots, so if you park there, you could be towed at your expense.
Thank You
Please know that these policies are in place to help us be able to continue serving our community. All policies and any fees associated are not meant as a punishment, but to help offset the unrecoverable time revenues that are lost associated with last-minute canceled/rescheduled appointments. We do sympathize that we are all going through extremely trying times, but these are the systems we have in place to ensure our stylists are compensated and our business will be here for years to come. We cannot wait to pamper you!
