You're probably wondering what the hell is NBR and why I've become obsessed with it over the past year? NBR stands for Natural Beaded Rows Extensions and it's literally changed my life as a person and my career behind the chair. In July of 2017, a (now) close friend introduced me to Natural Beaded Rows. I was at a Business Retreat in San Francisco, CA and she would not quit talking about these extensions. To be completely honest, I really didn't listen a whole lot, but she cussed a lot so I trusted her and knew she was my people. I woke up one morning at the beginning of 2018 and decided I was going to get certified in NBR. I applied, got accepted and became officially certified in June of 2018. As of March 2019, I have traveled back to California EIGHT times to continue my education with Natural Beaded Rows Team including the creator, Danielle K White and her husband Garrett, their lead trainer, Anianne and many other platform artists (BMSCON2, Warrior Women, NBR Intensive, Warrior Wealth for Women, MMCON, BMSCON3 - where I was a PodLeader, a second NBR Intensive and BMS Quarter 1 Event 2019). Seriously, I'm tired just thinking about it, but the growth I've seen in myself personally and professionally is unmatched, and I'm incredibly thankful for this tribe. I never could have imagined how many details are involved in an installation, but I'm proud to know I am offering the highest quality service to my guests. It's something I wear in my own hair and can't live without at this point. So, what makes NBR so special? Natural Beaded Rows is an extension method that utilizes hand tied hair. You start by creating a track with just bead a string, and then stitch in hand tied hair. You'll hear a lot of people talking about hand tied extensions right now. Hand tied is simply the type of hair being put in the hair (you can have machine tied wefts, hand tied wefts, tape ins, individuals, etc). I use hand tied hair and install through the method of Natural Beaded Rows. It has less points of contact than other extension methods and it involves no glue or tape. The hair is custom colored to blend seamlessly with your hair, unlike most other methods where the hair is swatched to match. The hand-tied hair is extremely thin at the weft, allowing us to layer multiple wefts creating beautiful customized color, but also keeps the rows extremely light. I don't even notice I have extensions in my hair at this point. My absolute favorite part of NBR is the versatility you have in styling your hair. You can wear your hair straight, curled, wavy, crimped, half-up, in a top knot, in a high pony, braids... literally any way you want. Most other extension methods I have worked with in the past never allowed my guests to style their hair however they wanted.
